In the next stage, the donor and surrogate will undergo a series of tests to ensure their physical health and fitness for the process.
The legal agreements between the intended parents and the egg donor or sperm donor, or between the intended parents and the surrogate, are vital to clarify the rights and obligations of each party and to have a legal record. The surrogacy process requires close cooperation between the intended parents and the surrogate because they work together to achieve the common goal of bringing a child into the world. After the appropriate legal agreements, the surrogate or egg donor will be medically prepared for egg retrieval and external fertilization.
