From your first consultation to bringing your baby home, most journeys take 18–24 months. The timeline includes surrogate matching (1–3 months), IVF and embryo transfer (2–4 months), pregnancy (9 months), and post-birth legal steps (1–3 months depending on the country).
There’s no single answer, it depends on your budget, your legal needs, and your timeline. The USA offers the strongest legal protections but the highest cost. Colombia and Mexico are more affordable with increasing legal clarity. Georgia and Armenia are well-established options for international intended parents.
