Celagem Clinic
Bogotá, COLOMBIA

Dr. Pedro Martinez, M.D., Clinic Director

The surrogates for our Colombian program are all Colombian women, residing with their families in or near Bogotá, Colombia’s capital city. Before they might be admitted into the program, surrogate-candidates undergo highly thorough medical and psychological screening at the Celagem Clinic in Bogotá; and they must have had at least one healthy baby derived from a successful pregnancy before they can be screened. During the gestational period, a Colombian surrogate lives with her family, maintaining her normal routines. She also during this time regularly visits the Celagem Clinic, which sedulously monitors our surrogates’ pregnancies according to standard Western pregnancy protocols. The surrogates undergo all the customary pre-natal evaluations, ultrasounds and any other recommended tests or procedures to ensure that their overall health is satisfactory and that their pregnancies are progressing normally. Delivery will take place at either a private hospital in Bogotá; or, if it’s pre-natally determined that the baby will require a NICU post-delivery, at a public hospital in Bogotá that has a high-level NICU. The Colombian surrogates are generously compensated for their services, enabling them to secure a better future for their children and their families. As such, their motivation for becoming a surrogate is mainly economic.

The anonymous egg donors for our Colombian program are all Colombian women, with many of them qualifying and entering the program as premium, or “V.I.P.,” donors. Prior to being accepted into the program, the Colombian egg donors are thoroughly screened at the Celagem Clinic in Bogotá.  If accepted, they also undergo their egg retrievals at Celagem.  In addition to providing IPs with  current photographs of the donors, the Celgagem Clinic provides basic information about the egg donors’ medical histories, their educational and employment experiences, and their personal interests and hobbies.

Surrogacy in the U.S.A

Surrogacy in the U.S.A. is permitted in most states, and is open to anyone, including single men and same-sex couples.  In the U.S.A., we offer four main Guarantee Plans meant to accommodate a range of budgets and preferences.  Each Guarantee Plan provides IPs an efficient, comprehensive path towards family formation without ever compromising safety or value.  In addition to our Guarantee Plans, we offer a fixed-cost or “Pay-As-You-Go” Plan.  This plan is meant primarily for IPs who have already created embryos, and who only require a surrogate.  With all of our U.S.A. plans, we provide IPs expert, compassionate support every step of the way, from first consultation to the delivery of their baby—and beyond.

Western Fertility Institute (WFI),
Los Angeles, U.S.A.

WFI Ranked #1 for IVF success rates by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and #1 in California for IVF success rates for women under 35 and women between 35-37.

Dr. Ashim Kumar, M.D.
Medical Director

&

The California Center for Reproductive Health (CCRH)

Dr. Eliran Mor, M.D.
Medical Director

Our American surrogates—or gestational carriers (GCs)—are U.S. citizens, living wherever surrogacy is permitted.  Before they might be accepted into our program, the American GCs undergo a rigorous screening process, including importantly an evaluation of their reasons for wanting to be a GC.  In addition to their economic motivations, the GCs must be genuinely altruistic in their desire to help IPs; and they must also have had at least one healthy baby derived from a successful pregnancy before they can even be screened.  Once matched with IPs, a GC will undergo additional medical screening to receive clearance for the pregnancy.  She then travels to Los Angeles for the embryo transfer, which is performed at either the Western Fertility Institue (WFI) or the California Center for Reproductive Health (CCRH), our partner clinics in the U.S.A.  For the duration of the pregnancy, the GC lives at home with her own family, maintaining her normal routines.  During the first trimester of the pregnancy, the GC is medically monitored by either by WFI’s Clinic Director, Dr. Ashim Kumar, M.D., or by CCRH’s Clinic Director, Dr. Eliran Mor, M.D., depending on where the embryo transfer was performed.  Practically, this means that medical orders for the first trimester will be sent either from WFI or CCRH to the GC’s own OB-GYN.  Once the first-trimester passes, the GC will be released wholly into the care of her own OB-GYN.  She will continue to undergo all customary pre-natal evaluations, ultrasounds and any other recommended tests or procedures to ensure that her pregnancy is progressing normally. Delivery will take place at an appropriate hospital wherever the GC lives.

In the U.S.A., Tammuz Family offers IPs a wide choice of anonymous egg donors from our American and South African egg-donor databases. All the donors have been thoroughly screened, both medically and psychologically. Their profiles provide detailed information about their overall genetic makeup, their medical histories (both their own and their families’), their educational and employment experiences, and their personal interests and hobbies. Also included in a donor’s profile are her current photographs; and some donors are willing to meet IPs (usually via Skype)—but only in these cases if the IPs are looking to do so. Depending on which of our U.S.A. plans IPs select, egg donation can be either fresh or frozen.

In many U.S. states, IPs are able before their baby is born to file a Pre-Birth Order (PBO), which places them on their baby’s birth certificate immediately after delivery.  In a few states, it may take a bit more time post-delivery to put the IPs on their baby’s birth certificate.  In both cases, our highly experienced legal team will work to ensure that the IPs are put on their baby’s birth certificate  according to the surrogacy protocols of the state where their GC lives.

YOU ARE THE FOCUS

Tammuz Family fully supports IPs from the very start of their journey all the way through delivery—and beyond.  Our services, which are expert and compassionate, provide IPs with the utmost in professionalism and care.  We take profound pride in being able to help IPs fully realize their dream of having babies.  Safely.  Legally.  Economically.

AFFORDABLE COST

We offer a range of high-value plans at uniquely affordable price points.  Also, our agency fees are about 20% lower than our competitors’.  This provides enormous savings for our IPs.

READILY AVAILABLE SURROGATES

Depending on where IPs elect to do a surrogacy, the wait time to match with a surrogate can be anywhere from 1-7 months.  COVID-19 has protracted our wait times a bit for now, but generally the wait time for matching in the U.S.A. is considerably shorter than in Colombia.

COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES

Our ALL-IN-ONE-PLACE approach significantly alleviates for our IPs the inevitable stress and anxiety that come with any surrogacy journey.  In fully coordinating everything for our IPs—including matching them with a surrogate; providing them with an egg donor; lining up their legal representation; creating embryos and scheduling their transfers; reviewing a surrogate’s medical insurance policy; monitoring all of the surrogate’s medical protocols; and managing the timely disbursement of payments to all relevant parties throughout the entirety of the journey—Tammuz Family strives to make the surrogacy experience as smooth, straightforward and worry-free as possible.

SURROGACY FOR IPs LIVING WITH HIV

Advanced fertility technology enables men who are HIV+ to participate in egg-donor-IVF surrogacy plans  and conceive perfectly healthy children. Tammuz Family is proud to help those IPs who need to avail themselves of this technology, known as sperm washing.  In May 2017, after reviewing reports on 11,500 assisted-reproductive conception cycles in which sperm washing was used, resulting in no cases where the impregnated woman or the child born of the impregnation contracted HIV, the U.S. Government’s Centers For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) determined that sperm washing was sufficiently safe enough to endorse.  Tammuz Family IPs who elect to have their sperm washed must first undergo special testing at either our U.S.A. clinic in Los Angeles or at the Celagem Clinic in Bogotá, depending on their plan.  Once testing is completed and results are approved, sperm washing is performed at the same clinic as part of the Special Program of Assisted Reproduction Plan (SPAR).

EXPERIENCE

Since 2008, over 1100 babies have been born under the expert guidance of the Tammuz Family Global Team.

VALUES

From its very beginnings, Tammuz Family has worked hard to promote equality and make surrogacy accessible across the globe.  Our team has been especially instrumental in bringing about pro-inclusive legislative changes for surrogacy in Israel, where Tammuz Family is headquartered.  And we will continue the fight until full equality is achieved for everyone we work with—and others—everywhere.

COMMUNITY, SERVICE AND SUPPORT

Tammuz Family supports IPs through their entire surrogacy journey, from first consultation to the birth of their child.  But our involvement does not stop there.  We have built over the years a global community of former IPs, maintaining regular contact with them and celebrating as their babies have become children—and, in many families already, young adults!  We have also hosted many “Family Day” gatherings and workshops, bringing together not only former IPs, but also current and prospective ones, connecting everyone in the Tammuz Family to each other in a way that’s deeply fun, helpful and meaningful, especially for first-time parents.

We look forward to having you join the Tammuz Family!
